Abundances command ignores local files
The abundances command behaves differently from commands like table sed
, which will first search through the working directory before they search in data.
This may surprise users who would expect a consistent parser policy.
The instructions in abundances/README.md
suggest copying default.abn
for safe-keeping, editing the file at will, and restoring the original file when done.
This is cumbersome and error prone.
Modifying the parser to allow specifying a local abundance file would make users' life easier.
